Cayuga Community College Men's Soccer fell on the road to NJCAA Division I undefeated Monroe Community College on Saturday.

The Spartans' five-match win streak ended with the 2-0 defeat to the Tribunes. Cayuga is now 5-2 on the season and 5-1 in Region III play.

Monroe scored both goals in the first half, but Cayuga's defense locked down and held the Tribunes the rest of the match. Goalie Matthew Chitty ended the game with 13 saves for Cayuga.

Matthew Twigg, Zander Wishart and Joseph Edet had shots on goal for the Spartans.

Cayuga is back on the road Wednesday, Oct. 1, for a regional and Mid-State Athletic Conference contest at Onondaga Community College against the Lazers. Kickoff is scheduled for 4pm.
