Spartans lose after a valiant effort during pool play

Cayuga competed in their first tournament of the season going 0-4 for the weekend.  Cayuga’s first two game of the weekend were against Fulton-Montgomery and Herkimer.  The Spartans put up a valiant effort but lost both matches. Janiqua Fletcher and Brandi O’Hara were Cayuga’s defensive leaders both with 9 digs each for the day.  Saturday the Spartans lost two hard fought matches with Jamestown and Alfred State.  Janice Myles and Janiqua Fletcher combined for 11 digs for the last match against Alfred State, while on the offensive end Kaylee Hamberger and Natosha Howe combined for 12 kills.
