Spartans Get First MSAC Win

Cayuga C.C. gets its first MSAC victory against Jefferson C.C. 75-67, the contest was a close back and forth battle as the Spartans were down 31-33 at the half.  Leading Cayuga in scoring was Zaki Thomas (Paterson, NJ) with 24 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 steals, while Glenn Taggart (Rochester, NY) added 14 points, 4 assists, 4 steals, and 4 rebounds, Joseph Godette (New Rochelle, NY) chipped in with 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals. "We made it a priority to get better on defensive end these last four days in practice, it showed a little bit in spurts tonight, but we still have a lot more room for improvement" says Coach Borges.  Spartans are back in action Thursday January 16^th at home against Broome Community College.
