Cayuga Volleyball Pod Play Weekend at Herkimer

The Spartans had a long weekend at Herkimer Community College, going 0-3 for the weekend.  The score does not reflect the great play during this pod.  Cayuga's first game vs. HCCC went to 5 games where Kayla Hourigan 11 kills and Mackenzie O'Brien 14 digs, lead the Spartans both on the offensive and defensive ends. 

Cayuga then had their second game vs. MVCC where they held off an offensive surge and won the third game from Mohawk Valley.  Natosha Howe and Kaylee Hamberger combined had 22 kills for the Spartans while Taylor Acresti lead the team with 22 assists. 

The last match of the weekend vs. SUNY Delhi proved to be a tough one for Cayuga.  After a tough first game, the Spartans came back with a better defensive effort keeping Delhi's offense in check.  Cayuga was led by Mackenzie O'Brien with 3 aces, Kaylee Hamberger with 11 digs, and Kayla Hourigan with 3 kills for the Spartans.
