Volleyball Has Long Weekend at Jefferson CC

The Spartan Volleyball program endured two more losses this week to go 0-2 for the weekend.  Cayuga first went up against Tompkins-Cortland.  TC3 came out with a hot start and took the first game from the Spartans 20-25.  Cayuga battled back to take the second game 25-20 but eventually fell to TC3 in the last two games of the match 18-25 and 17-25. 

The Spartans then went up against the Corning Red Barons where they game out strong taking the first game 25-18.  Putting up a good effort, Cayuga fell to the Barons 21-25, 4-25 and 21-25. 

The Spartans were led by Natosha Howe, Taylor Acresti and Mackenzie O'Brien. Natosha led the Spartans with 3 blocks and 14 kills.  Taylor led Cayuga with 30 assists and Mackenzie led the team with 9 aces for the weekend.

The Spartans look to travel next to FLCC to play in their second pod play vs. FLCC, MCC, and Alfred State.
